About Kindergarten
Since its inception in 1997, Maliku Development Society has placed education at the very heart of its mission for community upliftment. Soon after the formation of the NGO under the visionary leadership of Janab Ali Ismail Umeri, and with the dynamic frontline support of educated and socially committed citizens of Maliku, the Society recognized that the strongest and most lasting foundation for progress begins with early childhood learning. With this conviction, Maliku Kindergarten was established in 1998 as one of the Society’s earliest and most impactful initiatives. The kindergarten was created not merely as a place for basic schooling, but as a nurturing environment where young minds are gently introduced to learning through care, creativity, and structured guidance. The adopted learning approach emphasizes holistic development—fostering cognitive growth, social skills, emotional confidence, moral values, and curiosity in children during their most formative years. This initiative laid a solid educational basement for Maliku, ensuring that children receive the right start before stepping into formal schooling. Over the years, Maliku Kindergarten has stood as a living example of the Society’s commitment to building a knowledgeable, confident, and future-ready generation, reflecting the foresight of its founders and the continued dedication of its supporters.
